Simple Rules to Stay in Control

• Do not chase losses. A bad day is not a reason for a bigger stake.
• Set time limits and take regular breaks.
• Do not bet when you are tired, upset or under the influence of alcohol.
• Keep track of what you spend and win.
• Use the deposit limits and self-exclusion tools your bookmaker offers.

Signs of a Problem

• Betting more than you planned or can afford.
• Thinking about betting most of the time.
• Borrowing money or selling things to bet.
• Lying to family or friends about how much you bet.
• Feeling anxious, irritable or guilty about gambling.
